The rise of Virtual Currencies

In last couple of years the online digital goods sale have increased tremendously. These digital goods include ebooks, games,  subscription etc. The purchase of these goods does not involve any kinds of physical shipping. Suppose you are playing online game on Zynga and planning to buy accessory of the game or willing to pay to replay the game, Since these are not the real world transactions, hence having a kind of virtual currency also can fulfill the payment needs. However the only thing needs to be taken care is to somehow associate the payment currency to the real world currency (e.g. Dollar).

This is a new kind of the payment method where the need of the real currency is not a must instead of having a virtual currency (also known as cyber currency) can complete the purchase. This leads to creation of Facebook Credits, BitCoin or CoinBase.
